2011 Update

Wow it's been over a year since I've written in my blog! Life keeps trucking away and I'm just holding on for the ride! This year in a nutshell has been busy for us. We moved from Milford UT to Cody WY to Rock Springs WY. I'm grateful we were able to sell our house, and that we are out of Utah! I LOVE WYOMING! The boys and I lived with Karen and Steve for several months and Camby lived with Dana in Rock Springs. Then Dana moved to Billings and the boys and I moved to Rock Springs.

Steve was electrocuted while helping move Dana into the apartment. It was a couple of really scary days, but he pulled through like a champ! We went to Rexburg to Bryar's baby blessing and got to spend time with Justin and Nikki!

Weston started kindergarten and it is all day long. I had a hard time adjusting to it, but Weston didn't have any problems. Tucker had a hard time at first and would maul Weston when he would get home. After a couple of days of this, Weston told me that he needed some space from Tucker, cause Tucker was sticking to him like glue. We finally figured out a plan and now when Weston gets home, he says hi to Tucker and gives him a big hug. Once he's got some love from West, Tuck goes back to playing.

We spent Thanksgiving in Rock Springs and get to go to Cody for Christmas! YEAH!

Weston was a knight for Halloween. He was so cute. Camby helped the boys carve pumpkins while I was gone. Don't you love that Tucker grabbed the knife while Camby was taking a picture. That little boy gets into more things, faster than you can believe! Hence the two broken legs!

Mouse Trap

Weston has been watching Tom and Jerry cartoons. (Thanks to Grandma and Papa for the dvd). The other day he asked me, "Mom, where is a mouse hole in our walls?" I tried to explain that we didn't have any mouse holes, and that I didn't want any mouse holes. A couple hours later he asks me, "What kind of cheese do mice like?" I tell him that mice like all kinds of cheese. Warning lights should have been going on in my head, but they weren't. I brushed it off, and continued with whatever I was working on. A few minutes later West asks me to come look at his mouse trap. The last two pictures is what I found, and yes that is a cheese slice still in the package on the floor inside the loop. Weston explained to me that we could keep the doors open at night and a mouse would come into the house and he would pull on the rope and catch it.

A couple days later Weston and Camby made a bigger mousetrap in our basement. We still haven't caught any mice (thank heavens) but will keep you informed.

Rain...Rain...Please Come

It is hot here in Southern Utah. When it rains, (which is very rare compared to other places we've lived), it isn't for very long. Today's shower was only about three minutes. And no, I'm not joking. Weston was so excited to use his umbrella because it was raining that he ran and got it out, and in that amount of time, it stopped. How sad for a four year old. BUT...he was determined to use his umbrella and took it out to where I was watering the lawn with the sprinkler. He was so blasted cute, I really wanted it to rain for him. I guess we'll have to wait for another day.

Tucker giving kisses

Tucker was giving himself kisses today. He was very fascinated with this person in the mirror today. Several times while I was unpacking our suit cases from our recent trip, I found him talking to the mirror, and then kissing it. It was so sweet. Oh to be one again.

Goodbye Explorer

So we said goodbye to our wonderful explorer. I've loved having it but when your mechanic starts calling it the exploder, you know things are not good!

We started having a couple of problems with it but just got them fixed. Camby was trying to get me to look at buying a truck but I didn't want to have the car payment. I convinced him to wait a little longer and then we would get a truck after we saved a little bit more. Then the problems started, one occurring every month... $750 later Camby pointed out that the amount we were paying to fix it every month was more than a car payment. He also pointed out that the back end would be going out soon and that would be another $1000 to fix it. So I relented and we sold it!

Tucker Fractured His Ankle

We were at Jerry and Cathy Jimenez's house eating dinner when Tucker took a wrong step beside the couch. He immediately picked up his foot and started crying. I picked him up and took off his shoe. I thought he had twisted his ankle or sprained it, but he broke it, (I didn't even know babies could break them.) The next morning he wouldn't put any pressure on it, so I took him to the doctor. Luckily our pediatrician is there for a few hours on Saturdays, so I took him in and got x-rays. They knew it was fractured, but thought that he might not have to have a cast. They had to wait for a radiologist to look at it. On Monday they called and we took him in on Tuesday to get the cast. He did amazing and there were no tears from him, or mom. :)

More T-ball

Weston had so much fun playing T-ball. He could throw from first base to home base really well. He really struggled with not throwing the bat after he hit the ball. He was just so excited. As he was going up to bat, I called out to him to remember to set the bat down, don't throw it. He responded, "I know Mom." and then promptly threw it after he hit the ball. :)

Weston Plays T-ball

Weston is so excited to play t-ball. Camby and I were laughing so hard at all of the kids diving for the ball. Weston had a hard time hitting it off the tee because Camby usually just pitches it to him, but he finally got the hang of it. Cory Bebee helped him to play on first base. He is growing up so fast! He came into the house after he was done with the game and said that he had hit a home run (because he had to run to home plate) and caught two balls. He said, "I'm pretty awesome huh!" Oh what a ham I have! :)

C4 Summer Picnic

Camby was in charge of the company summer picnic. He did an amazing job! He had to feed 450 employees and their families for only $5 per employee, and get prizes for all of the games. We are so glad it is all done!!! Me especially. Camby had to work on some of his days off because they had to move up the date, but the blessing in that is that we got to bank the hours and will get to use them this week on our little get away.

My girlfriend Edna watched my Tucker so I could participate in some of the activities. Love that girl! I won the golf putting and won an 18 hole + half price cart. Camby is really excited to use it. (I'm not a good golfer. I go with Camby to the Windy 5 here in town for his amusement and mine as well. )

Tucker's First Sucker!

Suckers are not my favorite thing for kids to have. When kids eat suckers, they always get sticky. But it's not just on their face, it's on their hands, arms, legs, and everywhere you think it shouldn't be. I gave Weston his first sucker in the bath tub, but decided to let Tucker eat his, and then get in the bath right after, hence the diaper only Tucker.

Weston thought it was so much fun watching Tucker eat the sucker that he wanted to hold it in Tucker's mouth, but what is a good brother for, if not to help a little brother eat his sucker, after all it is pretty big for a little bug like Tuck. Gotta love those boys!

Memorial Day Weekend

Tucker, Karen, and I went to Cedar City and bought some flowers for my yard. Karen showed me how to cover up my sprinkler pipe with a half barrel turned on its side with flowers spilling from it. It looks so cute. My boys were so spoiled having Steve and Karen here. Weston loves playing with Papa and had a blast riding on the lawn mower together.

Trilobite

Weston, Camby, and Steve went to dig trilobites in Delta. They had a lot of fun and brought back lots of neat rocks. Weston was so excited about the little bugs they found. They had to pound the shale with hammers to expose the trilobites.

Memorial Day

Steve and Karen came to visit for Memorial Day weekend. Weston helped Grandma shave Papa after his haircut. Then he shaved her legs! He is such a good helper.

Moving Cows

Camby and I helped move cows for Brandon Yardley. Camby is trying to get me in shape for our pack trip next month by having me ride for several hours at a time. The wind was blowing so hard the whole day and we ate quite a bit of dust but we had fun being together. My friend Nikki had our boys so Camby could provide one on one help. I'm a little horse shy after coming off Judge last September, so we are working on building my confidence up again. We borrowed Rodger's horse because it is so gentle and I'm still not ready to be on Judge. Camby loves being on a horse and had fun working with Judge, although he would have rather had Maggie.

Goggles

Camby and I hit a garage sale and found these ski goggles for $1. Cam was excited that he would have them for skiing next year, but Weston was excited for having something to play with right now. He played off and on through out the day with them and was quite entertained. The next morning though Weston climbed into my bed and about scared me to death because he had them on and I was not fully awake. It was not a good way to wake up!

Aunt Dana came to visit us and brought Weston new golf clubs. He was so excited and has to take them out whenever dad goes to the windy five. He is so cute carrying them on the golf course.

Mother's Day

I really don't like mother's day. I try to put on the Happy face when the day rolls around, but honestly I would like to stay in bed all day. It's not that I don't love being a mom, it's that I hate going to church where everyone talks about how wonderful their mother's are, and it makes me feel empty inside because I have a mother on the earth, but she is not here. Why is she not here, it's complicated.

Today I had anxiety all morning as we got ready for church, but my husband and kids helped me get through by making me breakfast. To help me through Sacrament, I had to tell myself how cute Weston was going to be singing from the stand, and he was...he even waved.

I didn't know how hard life must have been for Emily Simmons (Asay now). I thought she must be fine because that was the way her life was...or because things with her mom and dad hadn't worked out. But now that I've been without my mom, I have to say that I'm sorry for not showing more compassion toward Emily's loss. I just didn't know, but now I have a little experience myself.

Before you get too concerned, this is fake. Les Whitney asked our family to participate in a mock accident for EMT training. We weren't sure how Weston was going to act and we tried really hard to prepare him. He did amazing! They put makeup on us and told us what was hurting and let us go from there. The guy that put Weston's makeup on made it look so real. We had several people that asked if it was real, to make sure he was okay. West totally got in character the whole time even when they put a neck brace on him and loaded him in the ambulance.

Ten Chicks and Green Beans

We just love Weston. He is full of surprises and is constantly making us laugh. Here are a few highlights from this week.

Weston: "Mom, why do we live on the earth?" I was thinking of a good response for a four year old mind when he said, "Is it so we can go hunting?" I couldn't help myself, and I laughed out loud. It was so sweet, and innocent.

West loves to text Camby. He pushes the buttons on my phone and thinks it is so cool to write daddy, even though it makes no sense, and then Camby texts back. The other day we were at a friends house and Weston and Kayla (his little friend) were pretending. Weston was talking on the phone and told whoever he was talking to, that he would call or text them later. My friend Danee was laughing so hard because that was so cute, that he would text them later. Can you imagine what he will be doing when he is older with all of the technology?

Weston had ten imaginary chicks. He was so cute pretend feeding and watering them all morning. I had taken part in some of these feedings, but later in the day I had forgotten about them. Camby came home and Weston asked if he could go feed the horses with him. We were in a hurry because we had to be at a missionary discussion at 7:00. (I was nursing Tucker and wasn't around when this was taking place.) It was taking Weston a few minutes to get ready and Camby was getting a little impatient. Weston came and asked him if he could take his ten chicks with him. Camby, not knowing they were imaginary answered, "No you can't, we need to hurry, please get in the car." Camby was thinking, I am not taking ten toys, they will get lost, and I don't want to deal with them while we are in a hurry. Weston started to fall apart saying that his chicks would be all by their lonesome and asked who would feed them...and on and on. Camby still doesn't know they are imaginary, but to get him to hurry up, he says he can bring one. This satisfies Weston and they go out to the car. While Camby is putting Weston in the car seat, West kept squirming and was acting like he was putting something on his shoulder. Camby was getting more impatient by the second and asked what was West doing. Weston answered that he didn't want his chick to get smashed so he was putting it on his shoulder. The light finally came on that his chicks were imaginary. This insight was able to cool Camby's nerves, and they finally got on their way. Camby felt bad afterward about being so impatient, and I laughed and laughed at the whole situation.

But we can't leave out our sweet Tucker. He has been getting so big and loves to eat...except green beans. Some days he will tolerate them, but others he won't. Like yesterday, I was feeding him cereal and then started to add the green beans. When they got in his mouth, he started gagging and I thought he was going to throw up. But he got over it and I fed him some more cereal and decided to try the green beans again, in case it was just one of those moments that something had gotten in his mouth and he had gagged. Yeah it was something that had gotten into his mouth, the green beans. As soon as he tasted the green beans, he did it again. Tucker does not like green beans!

Weston is my biggest helper. He always wants to learn how to do things. The other morning I was feeding Tucker and Weston asked if he could feed him. I said," Not right now, Tucker hasn't been feeling good." But then I had to go to the bathroom and told Weston to come stand by Tucker so he wouldn't cry. Weston is talking to Tucker, and then I hear "Woopsie," and then a giggle. This happens a couple of times, and I came out to this. So cute! It was hilarious because West would open his mouth every time he would put food in Tucker's mouth.

Shots

Life has been a little crazy for the last couple of weeks. Tucker got shots and it was a really long week. These were his first shots ever! I like to wait to give shots until they are a little older because my kids always get really sick, and he did. He finally started feeling better and a week later got RSV. I've been holding him a lot and ignoring my house. I feel very blessed that Camby can work and I can stay home and take care of my kids. I love holding Tucker as he sleeps and enjoying those tender moments I may never have again with a baby.

New Truck

Camby got a new (to us) truck. He's been needing a truck to haul his horses with and go feed them. We've been thinking of getting a newer truck, but have decided that we need to pay for Tucker, Weston, and I's medical bills. He's been taking my explorer and I hadn't minded too much until he came home and one of my doors was mudded shut. He also had mud on my steering wheel and all over the floor. That was the final straw for me, and I told him to go buy a beater truck to get us by until we can afford a different one. This is what he found, and he loves it. It is a 67 Ford 3/4 ton pickup, with a 390 and 33in tires. Weston loves it too and calls it "his truck".

I wanted to drive the new truck but hadn't had the chance until Camby needed me to drive through the gate to feed the horses. Let me just say that the steering wheel is the size of Texas, and there is no power steering. I can hardly reach the pedals and so when I move the entire seat forward, there is about an inch between my stomach and the steering wheel.

Back to the story, I put it in first gear and let off the clutch. It sort of lurched forward, and I'm thinking "Man, I know it has been four years since I've driven a stick, but I'm really bad at this." I stick the clutch back in and Camby tells me that it is a really touchy clutch, but to keep going. It lurches again, and Weston says, "Dad can I get out of the truck, something is wrong with it!" (Yeah that makes me feel fabulous, my four year old doesn't want to ride with me.)

I get going and shift to second and things are better. I do just fine in reverse, but I can't drive around town in reverse. As Camby and I are talking, he hears me explain that something must be wrong with first gear, and he says, you should have started in second, first gear is low, so you need to start in second. An idiot man invented that. If a woman had invented it, you know it would have had an L on it. You start going, it should be first, you don't start in second, you start in first!

Spring Fever

I have serious Spring Fever!

The weather likes to play tricks on me; the sun shines and melts all the snow, and just when all of the mud is finally drying up...it snows again. I know that a lot of farmers are praying for moisture in this area, but please, please can you pray for rain? I'm tired of being cooped up in this house. I need fresh air. I want grass. I want sunshine. I really want my son to go outside and play!

Camera

So our camera is having stress and I won't be able to post pictures until it gets fixed. But since we live in hick town, we'll have to wait until we can get a new battery, (hopefully that is the problem) off the internet!

Yesterday Weston and Tucker were taking a bath together. Weston is such a good helper and likes to help me wash Tucker. They have fun in the tub except when...I walked out of the bathroom to throw away Tucker's diaper and Weston starts yelling, "Mom, Mom," and something else that I can't understand. I go back in and he tells me that Tucker peed in the water, and now he needs new water. I was laughing, (how could you not), and got Tucker out and refilled the bathtub.

Camby spoke in the priesthood session of our stake conference. They have dinner with the wives after the priesthood session and before the adult conference. I was a little surprised that so many people came up to me and told me what a good job he did. While we were at the table our friend Alan mentioned something about his talk and I had a blank expression because I didn't know what he was talking about. His wife asked, "Well didn't he practice his talk on you?" I laughed and said that Camby writes down about four key words and takes his talk from there. I said I'm not that way, I have to write down every little word, and all of the woman agreed that if they don't have it written then they get up there and can't speak. Alan laughed and said that you only need to write down a few words, gun, truck, hunting, horse back riding...and you're good, you have the whole talk written and you can go on for as long as you need.

The adult session was so spiritual and it felt nice to have something to listen to, to remind us that life has lots of trials, but we can get through it. President Garrett also spoke to us about pornography, sexting, texting, and not having relationships with the opposite sex that are not family. It was an eye opener and Camby and I are going to strive to follow his counsel.

A little update

Weston is always making us laugh. He loves being a big brother and mom's big helper! He is constantly conning his dad into going for horse rides. (His current excuse, I haven't exercised Taffy in years, dad we have to go). He loves making up new songs and singing, "I am a builder, working each day, to build my family," at the top of his lungs to get Tucker to stop crying.

Tucker is growing like a weed! I swear I just gave birth to him, okay maybe seven months ago, (where did the time go?). He is an angel and very happy. We love making him laugh because he has a little bit of a snort laugh, which is so adorable.

Kendra is keeping busy with the boys and exercising with her friend MaKayla. She's lost a total of 16 lbs. WoooHoo! She has been making flower clips to go in hats and in hair and Weston always asks if he can put one on his hat (this drives Camby crazy)!

Camby has been doing more firefighting training and loves it. He loves going on horse rides with his son or anyone that will go with him. Camby is our handyman around the house and is working hard to finish our basement.

Weston was eating some granola and it was almost gone. He was using a spoon and then all of a sudden, he wasn't. I asked him what he was doing and he said there were little ones he couldn't get with the spoon!

Pudge

Our dog Pudge had seven puppies! Weston has really enjoyed playing with them and occasionally I'll let him bring them into the house on a blanket. We were taking some pictures of the puppies and one of them wouldn't quit whining. Weston had cuddled it, and was trying to get it to be quiet when Camby put Tucker next to the puppies. He was just enthralled with them and finally reached out to touch them. Then he grabbed the whining one, (none too gently as you can see above) and held on. The puppy immediately stopped whining and fell asleep with Tucker's firm grasp still in place.

Snuggling Boys

Weston is the best big brother! He's not jealous about sharing attention with Tucker. Weston always wants to sit and snuggle with Tucker.

Except for the other day...Weston and Tucker were laying on the couch and Weston was watching a movie. I was getting into the shower when I heard a scream followed by crying. I hurried to put on my robe and realized that both of them were crying, and Weston was trying to explain that Tucker had grabbed his hair and wouldn't let go. He was crying, which made Tucker cry...so I'm holding two crying boys, and they can't stop crying because Weston feels bad that he is making Tucker cry, but it hurt, and Tucker is crying because Weston is crying. I was trying not to laugh because I'd almost get one stopped crying and then it would start up again!

Sunbeam

Weston was sitting at the table and there was sun shining through the windows onto the table. Weston said, "Mom why is the sunbeam here, shining in my eyes?" Before I had a chance to respond he said, "Is is because Jesus loves me, and wants me to be happy?" I said, it sure is. The faith of children and understanding always amazes and humbles me.

Sweet Boy!

It's amazing at how fast time flies. I keep thinking that once we do this, or get through the holiday's, life will slow down, but it doesn't. We are doing great and excited to start the new year. Yesterday Weston saw a picture of me and Camby on our wedding day. He said, "Mom, you look like a princess in that dress." That melted my heart.

Weston continues to amaze me with his thoughtfulness. I haven't been feeling very good the last couple of days. I have a terrible cough, and he went and found the lotion that Camby uses to rub my feet and said, "This will make you feel better." And it did because Weston was so sweet and him rubbing lotion on my feet made me feel better. This year I'm going to do better at writing down these sweet moments so that I can look back on them.

Grandma and Papa

Tucker loved touching Karen's hair. He would just rub it between his fingers. He grabbed her face and proceeded to give her lots of kisses. Papa had a great time trying to wear out our little Weston, but truth be known, I think he may have worn out Papa. It was so much fun to have them here for a couple of days.

Christmas 2009

Weston asked Santa for a knife because he had lost the one Camby had carved for him when we went camping. Weston was so excited! The boys got matching pj's. Weston made a necklace for Santa's reindeer and then a bracelet for Santa's mother. He asked me to write a note telling Santa to give it to her. Ah the magic of Christmas.

We spent Christmas Eve with the Howard's. It was so much fun. We watched While You Were Sleeping and then acted out the Christmas story. Weston was a shepherd, and was so cute. I was the angel and Tucker was baby Jesus.

My sweet boys! I wanted them to have matching outfits for the holidays and after a ton of searching I found these at children's place. I was going to give them the sweaters for Christmas but then decided I wanted pictures of the boys with Santa. After I got those pictures, I had the boys stay in their clothes and we took a few family pictures. They turned out great!

Weston wanted Dad to pull them on the cool sled (the box that came in the mail). You have to love that kid's imagination. He took the other big box that I got and told me how to make it into a train. He had me get down paper plates to use as wheels, and then I had to help him paint the box. He has spent more hours in that box than he has with any of his toys this week.

Fire Dept

Les, the fire chief, (the one on the far left) hates heights but always gets up with the boys, because he says if he is expecting them to get up on the top, he should too.

The fire department puts up Christmas lights every year around town. They put up these huge displays and it is beautiful. This year our whole family came to help. I made cinnamon rolls and we ate them during one of the breaks. It was so much fun.

Conference Weekend

Spencer and Heidi came for conference and we got to see them. It was so fun! Janis came up to go scouting and so I got to see her too! It has been forever since we were together. I love my friends!

So I don't know how everyone keeps up on everything they need to do when you have two kids. I'm still getting it figured out. It will be easier after this week though because I'll be done as the assistant coach for cross-country. It has been a real learning experience and my kiddos have been wonderful being drug to practice every day.

Blessing Tucker

Tucker was blessed last weekend. It was a fun/not so fun weekend. We had 22 people at the house Friday through Monday. That was fun until we got the stomach flu. We ended up blessing Tucker at the house so we wouldn't spread our germs. We weren't able to do, everything we had planned, (we were so sick that we didn't care, and I said there is the refrigerator, help yourself) but we made it through the weekend and are feeling so much better.

Reynolds Go Golfing

Milford has a 5 hole golf course. It is only $3 to play so we took Camby's family with us. It took us 4 hours to get through the course but 9 of us played. It was a balst because none of us can really golf.

We were like a herd of turtles with our strollers and Steve's lawn chairs.

Funny Story

So we have a very enthusiastic little three year old. Every Sunday Weston wants to give the scripture, prayer, or his testimony in church. This week, before church, he told me that he was going to do his testimony, and I told him it wasn't his turn. We had a little talk about how we want to let others bear their testimonies so ours will grow. I thought it went well and wasn't really worried about him trying to get up in Primary.

Well this is what I get for thinking...

Weston decided that since he couldn't bear his testimony, he was going to give the scripture instead. The Primary president told him that MaKenzie was giving the scripture, and they helped him to sit down. He tried again to go up to the podium, but his teacher caught him before he made it up there. MaKenzie gave the scripture and the others gave their talks and prayers, but my little son wasn't going to be deterred from giving a scripture. After everyone sat down, he zipped up to the podium and held out his scriptures. The Primary president just laughed and said, "Okay we'll have two scriptures today."

We went to a bbq at our friends house and had so much fun. The steaks were yummy, and Weston had a blast on their slip-n-slide. He couldn't figure out how to do it at first and Camby had to kind of throw him down the slide, but he finally got the hang of it. He keeps asking when he gets to do it again.

Justin was amazed at how much energy Weston has. We just laughed and told him to wait a couple more years, and Rhett will be just like him.

Here Justin and Nikki are racing around the house. Nikki couldn't stop laughing while she was running because she had to curl her toes to keep her flip flops on!

We went to Nampa ID to take Justin two dogs. Weston loved playing with Rhett because he is more interactive than Tucker. We went to the Zoo and to Silver City while we were there.

Weston's first fish

We went camping with our neighbors (yes we are crazy, we took a three week old camping) but it was so much fun, and only for one night. Tucker did great and Weston caught his first fish. He was very excited while he was reeling it in, but then once it was in, he wasn't so sure that he liked the flopping fish. He would not touch the fish, even after it was dead. Weston was very proud that he caught a fish and showed everyone in the camp, but made Dusty our neighbor hold it.

Weston came to meet his Tucker today and ablsolutley loved him. He kept wanting to hold him and had to check out everything. "Look at his little fingers, see his nose, ooh he is opening his eyes, do you see his tummy" it was so cute. Camby was taking so many pictures Weston finally told him to stop. He is so helpful, now we just have to teach him how to be gentle. It is going to take some practice since Weston dosn't seem to grasp the concept.

Tucker Dayln Reynolds is finally here! He weighed 6 lbs and 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. He has dark hair and has been sleeping all day!

Camby watched the c-section and got a little surprised because the doctors were pulling so hard on my stomach. Tucker was really far up by my sternum and the doctor had a hard time getting him out. Then they had to pull really hard to get his shoulders through. Dr. Gatherum says Tucker has football shoulders.

So the nursery pictures are finally up! I loved my yellow room and refused to paint it another color. It did sort of create a challenge for picking colors, but we finally settled on chocolate, yellow, and blue. Finding things to match took time and effort, but I got what I wanted.

Now we are just waiting for the baby!

I found a picture with these three cute monkeys on it. I projected them onto a thin sheet of wood and Camby cut them out with the jig saw. I painted them along with the palm trees, and think they turned out so cute!

I'm trying to get this blog updated, so sorry that you are going to have tons of new stuff all in a short amount of time. Camby is on the softball team for the stake and also for the city leagues. It keeps us pretty busy going to games. He is on the fire dept and trains once a week, so our evenings have been very full. I have been working on some major projects and that is what has been occupying my time. One of the projects is the baby nursery (pictures will be up in the next couple of days) and it is basically finished. It has been a lot of fun, and Camby has been working a ton on it! Such a good husband, I know.

I'm getting closer to having a baby and despite what my little things on the left say, I only have three weeks left. I'm having another c-section, so it is scheduled. Yeah for me! I'll be so glad when my back doesn't hurt so bad, and when I don't have someone in my ribs. I had to have a stress test done last week because the baby's heart rate is really high, and they asked me if in the last nine months, have I been beaten, hit, or kicked. I almost blurted out, "Hello, did you not just see my stomach move, of course I've been kicked," but I held my tongue.

Weston rides Taffy behind Camby and Maggie. He is quite the character. The other day they were riding and Weston said "Dad, we need to ride over to that big mountain, it is called sand box mountain. let's go!" So they did. It took the about an hour to ride there, and how Weston even knew that there was sand on it, heaven only knows, but it has a new name, sand box mountain.

Weston loves riding his pony Taffy and gets Camby to take him several times a week. He has to get on his shaps, boots, and spurs on though before he can go ride his horse.

Fire Dept

Weston wants to be just like his dad. For the past four weeks the fire department has been collecting donations from the community for these huge Christmas lights that they put up every year. I was having a particularly rough day and Camby called Les (the fire chief) and asked if they were going to take the truck out, and did he mind if Weston came with him. Les loves Weston, so there was no problem. Weston went to the first couple of houses with Camby, and then out of the blue, at the next house, he says, "We need money for Christmas." The lady just couldn't say no to that little boy, and gave them $100. Well needless to say, they decided they needed to take him with them to all of the other houses. Les pinned his badge on Weston because Weston insisted he needed to look like them. At the end of the night Les sent home a badge and asked if I would get Weston a blue shirt and sew the badge on. Weston has gone with them every time they go out and they have been successful at collecting donations.

So I've been a huge slacker and haven't blogged for a long time. What can I say, life happens.

We have been traveling like crazy and have had so much fun with everyone that has come here. We went to Rexburg and Sanaquin for baby blessings, and Spencer and Heidi came and stayed with us for a weekend. Camby has been busy with fire training on the local volunteer fire department, and I am ready to have this baby. I know I still have a ways to go, but I'm getting impatient. I've been slowly working on decorating the nursery. We are doing a monkey theme, with chocolate, yellow, and blue as our colors. Karen is making me a baby quilt for the crib, as well as curtains, and a crib skirt.
It is already so hot in Southern Utah, and thankfully Camby put in our swamp cooler. I've been doing much better with the pregnancy, and haven't gotten toxemia yet this time. I'm seeing my doctor every two weeks, and getting prepped for this new one. Well that's us at a glance.

First Black Eye

So Weston got his first black eye. He fell backwards off a little step and somehow hit the plant on the other side. I still don't know how he did it, but the bump was up around his temple and it bruised clear down into his eyelid.

New Spurs

Manly Support

Weston and his dad made a mud hole in our back yard. Then Weston stripped down so he could get into the mud. I love summer, but with it comes the dirt. Someday we'll have a nice grass back yard, but until then, I guess I'll just have to deal with the mud!

Little Chick

Weston was a little bit nervous about holding the little chick because it kept flapping its wings at first. He talked to it, and was so excited to show us. Tonight when he prayed, he asked Heavenly Father for a chick, and a cage so it won't get away, and then a light so it would keep it warm. It was so sweet!

One day Weston was riding a four wheeler. He got a little off the beaten track and got stuck.

He realized he was going to need some help, so he got Dad's tow rope out of the Explorer and hooked it up to the jeep. Unfortunately for his dad, the only color in stock was pink. (Real men wear pink.)

Our colors of shirts indicate what each of us is voting for. Weston is just excited that we are going to have a baby. I'm 12 weeks and it has been a struggle, but at least I'm pregnant.
I have been really sick since 5 1/2 weeks and have lost 15 lbs. I throw up so much, that I have a picc line in my arm so that I can have an IV everyday. Camby has become my nurse and gives me my shots and hooks me up. I have a nurse that comes once a week to change my dressing, and then whenever else I need her. I've been MIA because I've been so sick. That is also why you didn't get Christmas cards.
I'm home all morning hooked up to the IV, so I would love to hear what has been going on with everyone. Camby got me a laptop for Christmas so I can lay down and still keep in touch with everyone. Isn't he wonderful.

Gerber Daisy

We painted the walls glidden palm springs tan, and it is a light chocolate color. We also got new carpet and so it makes the house so nice.
